We are delighted to announce our China Roadshow for 2020, taking place in 10 Cities via an innovative new platform - “Our online to offline roadshow for the Autumn"- scheduled to run in October and November 2020. This has come together quite late in the day so my apologies for the late notice and urgency but we feel this is a tremendous opportunity at a difficult time.

We plan to feature 20 producers in the campaign which will be on a strictly first come first served basis.  There is a very small window to ship wines from South Africa (see below) so if you are new to market or if you wish to show something not currently available, this will be ideal for you. The campaign is open to both Producers and Importers and is purely based on Business to Business development.

The basics -

• We will host Masterclasses with China’s two most famous Masters of Wine - Fongyee Walker and Julien Boulard. The offline Masterclasses with the MW’s presenting will then Livestream to four other satellite cities where the same wines will be tasted in real time. Livestreaming has become incredibly popular over the past several months and 1,000’s of people will follow online.
• Masterclasses will average 50-80 guests in each main city and 30-50 in each satellite city.
• In addition there will be a trade tasting at each of the 10 venues with all your wines being loaded onto a WeChat App which will connect you to potential buyers. For each producer “Slot” you can show two wines per city at the trade tastings and one wine will feature in a masterclass. If you wish to book more than one slot for your brand that is fine. We anticipate at least 100 trade attendees in each location.
• Wines will need to be registered in the WeChat App so there is some admin work required, please note this is important!
• Please note we will need significant quantities of wines for this event, 30 bottles of each wine allocated for a Masterclass and 20 bottles of each wine for the trade tastings.

Dates and Timings:

• Submission of application and graphics - 24 September 2020
• WoSA/Vinolution will forward the Masterclass wine selection by 28 September 2020
• Delivery from SA  - arrive to SA point of collection at 30 September 2020

Round One -  East Coast Cities, 28 October 2020

Shanghai is the host city for Masterclass. Then livestreams to: 

• Hangzhou
• Qing Dao
• Nan Jing
• Da Lian

Round Two -  South and South West Cities, 18 November 2020

?Shenzhen is the host city, then livestreams to:

• Guangzhou
• Kun Ming
• Chengdu
• Changsha
