Angela Lloyd

Angela Lloyd has been involved professionally in the wine industry, freelancing both as a writer and a judge, for the past 30 years. Literary credits include co-authoring The South African Wine Cellar Book, contributing the South African sections to Dorling Kindersley’s Wines of the World, Oz Clarke’s Pocket Wine Guide and Atlas and, with the 2014 edition she celebrates 28 vintages as a taster and writer for Platter’s South African Wine Guide. A judge on the Old Mutual Trophy Show every year bar one, she has also judged in Australia and Italy. Outside of working hours, cooking, gardening and walking the family labrador are favourite pastimes.

Fiona McDonald

Trained as a news journalist, Fiona McDonald worked as a specialist medical reporter, wine columnist, night news editor, sub editor and newspaper designer before being headhunted to take over as editor of WINE magazine. Eight years at the helm provided her with broad knowledge and unique insight into the industry's post-apartheid progress since her tenure coincided with a period of profound change and growth within the local wine industry. Now a freelance writer, Fiona contributes to a number of South African publications and websites on the topics of food and wine. In addition to serving as a taster at a range of international wine competitions, she is also a member of the Platter’s South African Wine Guide tasting panel and writing team, as well as Wine magazine's Best Value Guide.

Malu Lambert

Malu Lambert is an established freelance food and wine journalist who has written for: Good Taste, Food & Home, Sunday Times, Classic Wine, Eat Out, Chef’s Magazine, Cape Town Magazine, WOSA and more. She also owns story-telling agency, Fable, which works with high-end food, wine and hospitality brands; telling their unique stories in a variety of digital formats.

Malu has achieved Level 3 in WSET, has been a wine judge in Rosé Rocks and has recently been awarded the title of Veritas Young Wine writer 2015.

Julia Moore

After an Honours degree in Journalism and a stint at Fair Lady magazine, Julia Moore joined Boschendal as their PRO in the mid-nineties where her love of wine began. She then went on to become a free-lance writer for wine.co.za; Wynland Magazine and several other wine companies including Robertson Winery, Mont Rochelle, Distell, Haute Cabriere.
