Dear Producer,

Q&A on Wine Exports and Other activities

COVID-19 Q&A: EXPORTS OF LIQUOR BEVERAGES - WINE, SPIRITS AND OTHER FERMENTED BEVERAGES (Level 4)

Now that South Africa has entered Level 4 of the Risk Adjusted Strategy from 1 May 2020, which includes an exemption from Government to allow exports of liquor beverages (including wine), it is important to understand exactly which regulations, processes and protocols need to be adhered to throughout the value-chain.

The Exporters Task Team has compiled a detailed Q&A on the export of liquor beverages, which includes the following:

·         The applicable regulations

·         Safety protocols

·         Exports and related services

Download the Q&A.

We will continue to keep you informed of any further developments as they unfold.

WSB Chairman Matome Mbatha tribute to the late Riaan Kruger

South African Wines Industry has lost an Anchor.

Riaan Kruger, a true diplomat, pillar of strength, knowledge base, and a mentor to many of us. Our hearts and prayers are with the Kruger family. We received the news of the passing of Riaan at this difficult time when our nation and the world are in lockdown.

We are grateful for Riaan’s role in shaping the South African Wine Industry to global standards through his leadership qualities.

Riaan will be sorely missed and we honour his legacy in the wine industry and mourn his loss alongside his family and friends.

May his soul repose peacefully.

Kind regards

WoSA Team
