The idea for the tasting is to show producers from some of South Africa’s oldest estates through to some producers with only one or two vintages under their belt – a South African timeline from old to new. Each producer will show the oldest vintage available from the estate (in its current format/name) and the current vintage. The aim is to highlight the history of winemaking in South Africa and the story of how the industry has developed, as well as showing how our wines can age. Following the tasting the group of winemakers and independent wine merchants will take a London Routemaster bus, destination South Africa, to High Timber restaurant for a lunch and informal tasting.
Venue: South Africa House and High Timber restaurant
Time: 09.30 – 16.00
